IT’S HARVEST TIME
The 2026 harvest is here, and we are kicking off the season
this Saturday, September 12, with Brianna grapes!
Each fall, our Northern Sun community comes together to bring in the grapes and help create the next vintage. Harvest begins at 8:00 a.m., with coffee ready for our early-morning pickers, and lunch provided for everyone helping in the vineyard. Come for the morning, stay for the day, or join us whenever you can.
Harvest typically continues for five to six Saturdays, with a different grape variety picked as it reaches peak ripeness. Whether you are a longtime harvest volunteer or joining us for the first time, we would love to have you be part of this Northern Sun tradition.

About Us
At Northern Sun Winery, our story is one of family, resilience, and a deep love for the land. In 2020 — at the height of the COVID pandemic — Wendy and Melissa Middaugh took a leap of faith and purchased the winery from Dave and Susie Anthony, carrying forward its legacy while planting new roots for the future.
From the beginning, it has been a true family venture. Wendy and Melissa guide the vision and spirit of Northern Sun, while Wendy’s son, Jonathan Bovard, serves as Vineyard Manager and Vintner, carefully tending each vine and crafting every bottle. Together, we pour our hearts into creating wines that reflect both the challenges and the beauty of our journey.
What began in uncertain times has grown into a place of connection, celebration, and pride. Whether you’re savoring a glass in our vineyard or sharing a bottle at your own table, we invite you to discover the spirit of the North in every pour.
